Maiori is located along the valley of the river Reginna,
that born in Tramonti and flows into the sea, forming
the largest beach of the Amalfi Coast.
The city center is shaped like an upside-down
fan that measures about 1.5 kilometers on the beach, and
a few hundred meters in the stretch across the valley
(about 2 km inland). The inner boundary of Maiori is the
fraction Ponteprimario, begins immediately after the territory
of Tramonti. |
Along the side
of the marine highway 163 separates the beach and promenade
from the town proper. Westward Maiori borders the town
of Minori, from which separate it about six hundred meters
of the carriageway.Eastward instead extends most
of the territory of Maiori which includes Capodorso, Erchie
and about nine miles of coastline that make the coastal
town of Maiori largest.
They are part of the territory of Maiori also the magnificent
mountains of State Property and Mount dell'Avvocata bordering
respectively with Sunsets and Cava de 'Tirreni and Cetara.
Given the breadth of the territory then,
to make it easier to complete a long visit to the country
and its surroundings, we come to offer seven paths
ideal for leisurely walks, marked with different colors,
as they run through the territory, they go to embrace
the monuments, landscape and historical-cultural ...

at the entrance of the Corso Reginna Maiori.
